  • Don't be afraid... it's only Saturn Conjunct Pluto

Oh hey Mighty Morphin' Game Changer! Not sure if you are aware but at this very moment two of the most intense planets are conspiring against you…. They are cold, they are serious and they really want you to get your shit together. Basically if you have been feeling the pain of restriction and limitation while also experiencing a burning need to change your life in a MAJOR way, then honey you are feeling the energy of Saturn conjunct Pluto. Trust me, it’s not just you… it feels like it, but if you look around I’m sure you will agree everything and everyone are in the midst of some sort of transition. So lemme break it down for you, this humm dinger of a conjunction is a major planetary event that occurs on the average of every 34 years. Saturn-Pluto conjunction will slowly and grindingly unfold itself throughout the whole of 2019 and will culminate on January 12, 2020. Just so you know, this is a very different kind of astrological dynamic. It is intensely transformative because it is massively destructive, but also beautifully creative. Art credit : kellepics You might remember the last conjunction between these two, it was through November 1982 and ending in 1983. If your too young to remember 1982… well let’s put it this way, it was time of big changes in our collective consciousness. For instance, as it concerned our understanding of the A.I.D.S. epidemic. Last time when the Saturn/ Pluto conjunct was coming to a close was in 1983. It was then that we started to understand what the disease was, as it ravished it’s way through vulnerable communities. Also, 1983 brought the beginning of the cold war between the United States and Russia. Tension was rife between the two powerful nation and the whole world seemed to have it’s teeth on edge waiting to see who was gonna push the button… maybe. Now here we are again in the midst of another one of these rare Saturn - Pluto conjunctions. It is rare because Pluto has an unusual orbit and only makes contact with Saturn in 34 year intervals; give or take. An unease and molasses slow astrological event, as a collective we feel we need to change. We are disoriented in a generation that seems to have an unstable identity. We know that who we were collectively is no longer who we are, and we must change. But, change comes slow. I think we will need patience and determination as humanity faces extra responsibilities with less time and resources to get the job done. On an individual level, there is stagnation and angst. There seems to be this sense that something particular in your life that has outlived its usefulness. You know you need to evolve, you know you need to build new foundations. There is this great damming up of energy in your soul, building and building, making you feel like you are going to split at the seams… and you’re right. Try not to indulge the urge to rebel against restriction and take rash actions just to feel better. You may have started to feel the low rumblings of this slow moving evolution around Christmas time in 2018 as Saturn and Pluto began this long grind toward contact Dec 22, 2018 in the sign Capricorn. Maybe you started looking at your career thinking you need out. Maybe you looked at your credit card statement and wen OH SHIT. Or maybe you came to the conclusion that it is time to unearth your spiritual roots in response to feeling like you “just don’t relate to anything anymore” In January you may have even felt the pressures mount. The need to change something crushing in on you ever tighter. More pressure. More heat. More constriction. And now, here we are in February and you are feeling like something's gotta give, and trust me it will. You need to eliminate the shit that’s got you stuck. You have to evolve. The only way to do this though is to clear away your blockages… but you have to know where and what they are, you can’t go in blind! Freedom only comes when you destroy (oh, Pluto loves destruction BTW) your obstructions in thought, practice and expression. You gotta break out baby, but first you have to get honest about what you need to change in yourself. Let Saturn show you where to shine the light. And let Pluto help you clean out those darkling, shadowed corners of your true self. Only then can you adjust your angle of approach. Here’s your astrological prescription - Take a long hard look at the “work done” during the previous cycle (or the last 12 years) Decide If the lessons of that cycle have been learned and if you are ready to move on to your next cycle. Signs you are ready to move on can include feelings of resolution, completion or neutrality. You may also feel tired of the same old same, ready to move on or like you just can’t look back there. If you find you have been repeating the same patterns and are stuck in a rut and you just can’t seem to resolve them, then my dear is a sign… you still have got some work to do. Look to see what new lessons, patterns or synchronicities are popping up in your life. This is a sign that your evolution has begun. Be sure that you have made room for the “new” by releasing the “old” Don’t expect everything to happen “over night”. Remember this is a process of unfolding. Just like a lotus opening, everyday brings another opportunity to discover more ways to unfold your purpose Seek out support from others who can help guide you, heal you and hold space for you. Remember sweetness, this is a slow, evolutionary process. If you are willing to do the work. it is a time in which you will be building new foundations on which to prosper in coming years. Be kind to yourself and be kind to others as this is something that we are all going through to varying degrees. • 3 reasons being hopeless ain't so bad

Hope is a funny thing. Admittedly I’m disinclined toward it. You might be scratching your head right now wondering if you should continue to read this. You might be thinking what has happened to my favorite Mystic? Has she fallen down and smacked her head on some disenchantment? Or perhaps she has come to some unlucky end and some other person is writing this blog. Well, fear not dear reader, tis’ I, your favorite Mystic, here to expound on yet another idea to help you on your journey… or at least give you another perspective to consider. So, hope - they say it springs eternal. Which I agree with, it truly does. But what does hope actually do? What does it mean? How does it serve us as human beings? I have often wondered about this, especially when things were difficult. It seems to me that the times when you want to hope the most are when you feel the thing you want is the furthest thing from your reach. It could be that you hope you get the job or that a special someone is going to notice you because you try so hard. You could hope that your diagnosis is good… or at least not as bad as it could be. You could hope that you get there in time, or that maybe you won’t. In any case hope is something that we all feel as human beings. I would even dare to include it in our emotional spectrum as being something as active (maybe even as powerfully influencing) as love, hate, fear or any other strong emotion. However I have a problem with it. Like every other emotion, hope has it’s own shadow. Where hope fails, disappointment, regret and hopelessness take up residence. When the person, place or thing you had hoped for doesn’t show up, there is a blank spot or void that is left in its place and you gotta fill it with something. For most of us, it’s usually a “negative” feeling. So you know what I say? I say as often as possible abandon all hope! At this point you might be saying.. “Yeah Alysa really? Abandon all hope? Then what?” I’m glad “you’” asked. I have 3 things I would love to offer you instead of hope. Strategize with intention - Whatever it is you would normally be hoping for I would gently suggest that planning is a much better strategy then just hoping. You know what you want, and you know where you currently are, and you are hoping that you will get where you want to be. Yet, there are times where you wonder if you will ever get to that next level in your life. Most of the time when people are hoping it is because they feel like there is something that they are missing or that there is some inadequate component in their approach to their goals. This is where I would suggest that it is important to substitute hope with strategy. Look at all the things you have working for you. Look at your skill set, assets and supporters. Organize a plan by which you can achieve increments of your goal. It is amazing what the accumulation of a well executed plan can amount to. Action - I watched the secret like more than once, multiple times in fact. Each time I turned off the T.V. feeling very hopeful. I would put myself into the vortex with all the emotions I could muster that would align me with having the thing I wanted most at the time. I would act as though I already had the desire du jour in my possession. I would think like I already had it and I would emote as though the deal was done. But, I always found myself feeling like there was something missing. And, there was! It was the thing that I wanted, it was missing even though I know I did all the steps right. So me being me I would think it over. In retrospect I would examine my every action, thought and emotion and be 100 % sure I followed the instructions… then it occured to me one day where the glitch was. I would keep hoping I was doing it right. I would do everything I was supposed to except for acting in alignment with accepting the things I wanted. The Universe likes it when you accept what you've asked for.... but the universe likes it even more if you are actively taking steps to achieve... not just hope that you will. Trust - Similar to hope but much more reliable. So, as the manifesting magician you are you probably know this little pearl of wisdom; but it bears repeating. Trust is very powerful. It implies that whatever or whoever you put your trust in has great authority and can either open or block the path that leads to what it is you want. Sometimes we can make mistakes and trust in the wrong things or people, that’s ok, that is a learning opportunity if you allow it to be. However, there is one place you can always place your trust without the risk of it being a mistake. Ok technically two but for now we will focus on the one. That is the Prime Creator, or God, or the Universe… or, whichever way you call upon the highest of all Conscious Creators. While this can be a topic that can be difficult to contain in one or two sentences, I would like to suggest that putting your trust in the order of a Divine Plan is about as safe as you can get. If you trust that all that comes to you - good or bad is working toward your greater good then you can see how the need for hope is replaced by the peace of trust. So, now you can see why I can say being hopeless ain't so bad. If you need a little bit of help becoming more hopeless reach out, I can help. That's all for now xoxoxoxox Thanks for reading! • I'm flawed, let me tell you how.

So today I was driving into town with my husband, he had a shoulder injury at work over a year ago and was finally able to have the surgery he needed to relieve his pain. I don't know if I have told you guys about this or not, I always mean to and then I second guess myself. You see people like me, assuming there are some, which I do, don't really like to be visibly flawed. What I mean by that is, I don't want to show you my flaws because it means that you might feel let down. You might not trust me or worse, you might think that I'm not worthy of your attention and acceptance. WOW right! I have never really liked that word... worthy. I always felt like using it meant that you had to do something out of the ordinary to qualify it. Like just being here as a human being wasn't quite enough. So, when I was 36, I got these Tattoo's on my wrists to remind me that I am worthy. They sort of represent a declaration to myself and the universe that I was and am WORTHY and I could take in the gifts given to me. You probably noticed the Tattoo on my other wrist. It says blessed. I got that one at the same time because I wanted to remember that just as I was worthy to take in love, I also need to give it back. You know, keeping everything in balance. Anyway I have totally gone on a tangent, try not to act surprised ;) While I normally like to talk to you about what the Moon is doing, or about Tarot or anything else mystical I thought that it might be helpful to show you a different side of your favorite Mystic. So, I shall tell you a story. I love stories, they help us transcend our differences and find commonality. If you are in the mood for a little read, I'd like to share with you a piece of my story. When I was 21 I started having anxiety. Not the oh crap I have to give a presentation in front of 50 people kind. Oh no... no. ... no - I was having high test anxiety. The kind that makes you feel like your bowels are going to betray you in public, faint like a southern belle or do the most logical thing, and just have an episode of total shut down. Having this happen to me was weird, up until that point in my life I hadn't experienced anything like it. I was that girl that was doing things and going places. I used to rock climb, belly dance, and all kinds of other things that took a bit of courage. Then one day that just ended and it ended hard. All of a sudden I found myself in a shrinking circle. I was staying in and not wanting to go out. I was voiding friends. I couldn't work, I couldn't even go to the damn grocery store. It was bad. Really bad. Worst of all my fears of not being who everyone knew me to be... or expected me to be kept me from getting help. I felt like I had to hide my big ol' ugly flaw. For two years I held it in, hid my pain. I tucked that visible flaw into my back pocket and took it with me everywhere I went. Needless to say there came a day when I couldn't keep my anxiety a secret anymore. Everyone around me noticed I wasn't myself. People were starting to ask questions. That simultaneously made things worse and better. Worse because it meant that my secret was poorly kept to say the least but better because it was the first step in doing something about it. So, fast forward a bit and one day my Dad and I were driving to go see his therapist at the time. Amongst many things, this trip was one of my least favorite things to do. After all, my anxiety would tell me it was way safer staying home, insulated and free from danger. Even though I loved my Dad I feared my anxiety more. Taking these trips was exhausting and stressful. The Truth is anxiety is a liar. It takes parts of the truth - or what we perceive as the truth and amplifies all the bad stuff. It takes a simple task and turns it into a monumental undertaking. If you don't suffer from anxiety, then it may seem silly or even like something you should just be able to snap out of. Well, ask anyone who has had anxiety... you wish you could, but for some reason you can't. The worst part is anxiety is not just a liar, it is also a thief. It steals joy from everything. It takes your birthday party and makes it an ordeal. It takes Christmas, Halloween, weddings, vacations, school, work and pretty much everything else away from you. It constantly whispers in your ear, reminding you that everything you are afraid of is about to happen and you have no control. It intrudes on everything that you want to love and experience like an unwanted guest. And you want to know the worst part? You feel guilty all the time. You feel like it's your fault. As though you aren't strong enough, or disciplined enough. I got side tracked again didn't I? So Dad and I were heading to this appointment his therapists office. On the way I could feel my anxiety growing. It was like the Oh Shit channel in my mind had been turned on and the jerk who turned it on walked away, leaving all the negative programming to play unchecked at the highest volume on loop. In other words, I couldn't hear anything outside of the liar called anxiety. My Dad was a pretty observant old dude. Not to mention he was very experienced spotting symptoms of system overload. He could see it in me because he suffered from it himself in the form of P.T.S.D. from his military service in Vietnam. He could tell I was feeling dizzy and that I could no longer focus on anything. He knew that my body was overwhelming me with symptoms of eminent doom. He saw that I was drowning, that the undertow was pulling me in. Once we got parked, he looked at me. I remember this moment clearly, it is one of those moments that leave an indelible mark on your soul and you carry it with you the rest of your days. My old man looked at me and said, "Alysa, where are you? " and of course I was in no mood to give my coordinates, I was busy being all panicky. So I said to him I dunno! In a rather rhetorical tone I might add. Why did I need to state the obvious... obviously we were both sitting in the car with my panic attack. Not satisfied with my answer, he said to me again - "Alysa, where are you?" Now I was getting annoyed, which if you know panic and anxiety, you will know that sufferers will include irritation and short tempers into their emotional roller coaster. So I looked at him this time, still completely incapable of focusing and I said to him. I'm in the fucking car! To which he replied squarely, and very calmly - Alysa, where ARE YOU? This time his calm and steady question stopped me. It broke my concentration just long enough. It was like one of those overcast days when the clouds obscure the light of the sun. But, as the day goes on, the wind shifts the clouds just right and lets a crack of sunshine peek though, providing clear light. I looked at my Dad and I honestly didn't have an answer. I sat there struck dumb by a the simplest of questions. I couldn't answer something even a small child could. So I sat there, looking at him, confused and desperate. So he said to me in the gentlest tone I had ever heard him use. "Daughter, you are directly over the center of the Earth." In that moment I felt the tight band around my chest loosen. I felt the static electricity crackling over my brain fizz out. I sensed a deep and enduring truth in that simple statement. I'm sure even now as you read this you are connecting into something greater than yourself. When you consider the fact that you can be literally anywhere on this planet, in a plane above the planet or even in a cave or an ocean deep within the planet - you are ALWAYS connected to your home. Your source, your deep and abiding connection to every living thing shares this commonality. We are all connected by Earth, to Earth and through Earth. It is Gaia that tethers us, through our connection to her we are stabilized, grounded and recalibrated. All humans, including you and me are tuned to the natural harmonic of the frequency of the Earth. This is called the Schumann Resonance and is 7.83 hz. All of are linked to this frequency and we all are grounded and healed by it. So as I have gone forward in my life, trying to grow and learn, becoming a better and stronger expression of myself, I still have days that my anxiety gets to me. sometimes I am overwhelmed by feelings and thoughts. Sometimes I am not able to show up as the best version of myself. To be honest, I wish I could hide that from you. Or better than that, I wish I didn't have the problem at all. I often think to myself that I could and should be more or better than what I am. Truth is, I am imperfect and visibly flawed. However, I have learned to take refuge in the idea that I am always at home, directly over the center of the earth. I gather strength from the fact that we are connected to each other through this bond of our mutual home. I am connected to you and you to me and it is through this connection that I am able to show up, hold space for others and forgive myself for my flaws. So that's my story and I'm sticking to it. XOXO Alysa

  • From Darkness Into the Light

The last little while things seem to have gotten very difficult for many of us. We look around and wonder why we seem to be stuck in this nasty feeling. It's in moments like these I am reminded of the Parable of the lotus and I'd like to share. Like a secret, the seed of the lotus flower begins its life submerged not only under water but nestled deep in the dark and obscuring mud. One day the life within the seed stirs and begins to germinate. Yet while it is mired deep within the mud it naturally strives to push through the thick and constraining dirt. Each day the sprout is strengthened ever reaching toward the promise of the nourishing sun. Even though there is no assurance of reaching the surface of the murky water; the stem of the plant must maintain its momentum. Pushing and reaching a little more every day; the water slowly becoming clearer allowing more light from the sun to pass through it and nourish the pod. After a time, the lotus stem finally breaks the surface of the water. Though it has made the long journey from the mud and murky water that obscured the Sun's light it has yet another task before completing its journey. It must now open. Lying atop the surface of the water, high above the mud that once encased it, and the shadowy water that formerly blocked the sun, a single petal at a time the pod slowly begins to flower. Now, the seed has become what it was always meant to be; the lotus flower. Free from all barriers and open to the world. It plays its role in creation having totally met and realized its full potential. The mud now nourishes the flower, giving it strength, and the water that used to blind it now washes its petals clean keeping them spotless and beautiful. In the center of the now open flower lay seeds that contain all the unknown potentials of the future, the newness of beginning. This is such a beautiful metaphor for life and its challenges. So often we can find ourselves hindered and even stuck in the dark of confusion, stress, depression or difficult circumstances. Just as the mud and murky water prohibits the passage of sunlight to the seedling; so too can the state of being within our minds prohibit the light of truth from penetrating our souls. Similarly we can also find ourselves with our pain being the matrix for profound growth. To the Buddhists the lotus seed signifies universal potential. The sprout and stem represents the desire for enlightenment and the determination to not allow suffering to overtake the soul. The opened flower is a metaphor for an awakening, spiritual growth, and enlightenment. The blossom also represents the purity of body, speech and mind. The parable of the lotus can be thought of as a metaphor for the awakened mind, which grows naturally toward the warm and nourishing light of truth, love and compassion. The lotus may appear delicate on the surface, but it is flexible and resilient, securely anchored under the surface of the water. Within you the same desire for awakening, transformation and liberation reaches for the light of the truth of your purpose. If you read this and it has helped you, pass it on!

  • A Moon by Any Other Name

Tonight is the Full Sturgeon Moon landing in the sign of Pisces, and I wanted to share with you why we call it this, mostly because it is interesting and part of our collective human history. Some of us like to mark the Full Moon and or New Moon cycles Cultures the world over have given specific names to each monthly full moon. Interestingly the name given to the Moon was used to name the entire month in which it occurred. Used for many, many years as a reliable resource, The Farmer's Almanac gives a list if the names of assigned to the Moon for each month of the calendar year. These names are among the most commonly used in North America. Worth noting for those of you who are sticklers for detail, the almanac also details the fact that there were some differences in the moon names used by the Aboriginal Peoples, but for the most part, the same names were used by the Algonquin tribes from what are now the New England states all the way west to Lake Superior. Additionally, it is important to recognize that the European settlers followed their own traditions and generated names of their own. It is very interesting to observe that despite the distances and differences in cultures, language, tradition and even religion the Moon has always held the fascination of human kind. Below is a list of this years full Moons and when they will occur in 2018, according to NASA: Date Name U.S. East UTC Jan. 1 Wolf Moon 9:24 p.m.02:24 Jan. 31 Snow Moon 8:27 a.m.13:27 Mar. 1 Worm Moon 7:51 p.m.00:51 (3/2) Mar. 31 Sap Moon 8:37 a.m.13:37 Apr. 29 Pink Moon 8:58 p.m.00:58 (4/30) May 29 Flower Moon 10:20 a.m.14:20 Jun. 28 Strawberry Moon 12:53 a.m.04:53 Jul. 27 Buck Moon 4:21 p.m.20:21 Aug. 26 Sturgeon Moon 7:56 a.m.11:56 Sep. 24 Harvest Moon 10:53 p.m.02:53 (9/25) Oct. 24 Hunter's Moon 12:45 p.m.16:45 Nov. 23 Beaver Moon 12:39 a.m.05:39 Dec. 22 Cold Moon 12:49 p.m.17:49 Other names in other places I don't know about you but I've often wondered why and where the Full Moon names have the ones they do. Our ancestors didn't have clocks and wall calendars so as a method of tracking time and the yearly changes they would see in nature. Most early cultures followed a lunar month cycle as the transitions of the moon's phases were a reliable way to track time and to some extent forecast coming changes in the natural environment. they used Full moon names that corresponded to seasonal events. For example, a Harvest Full Moon happens in September or October, which is the end of the growing season. So you can see how it makes sense that the Cold Moon occurs in cold December. Makes obvious sense when you think about it. Now, it is worth noting that in other parts of the world there are other names for the Full Moon. Chinese moon names Month Name January Holiday Moon February Budding Moon March Sleepy Moon April Peony Moon May Dragon Moon June Lotus Moon July Hungry Ghost Moon August Harvest Moon September Chrysanthemum Moon October Kindly Moon November White Moon December Bitter Moon In the Southern Hemisphere, where the seasons are pretty much opposite ours, which means that in Argentina and Australia, winter begins in June. The winter solstice in the Southern Hemisphere is from June 20th or 21st, while the summer solstice, which is the longest day of the year, is December 21st or 22nd. Therefore The Harvest Moon occurs in March and the Cold Moon is in June... Pretty cool huh! Like, its totally just a phase dude. In case you might be wondering lets talk about how the full moon works. As you know the moon is a big old glob of cheese... ok maybe not. The Moon is a sphere that makes it's way around Earth once every 27.3 days. Also, while it goes around the earth it takes about 27 days for the moon to rotate on its own axis. So, even though the moon always shows us the same face; there is no stationary "dark side" of the moon. Sidenote - Dark Side of the Moon is a good album by Pink Floyd. So while the moon travels around Earth, it is lit up from different varying angles by the sun — because the Moon has no light of her own. Interestingly on average, the moon rises about 50 minutes later each day, which means sometimes it rises during daylight hours and sometimes during nighttime hours which is where we get the Moon phases. Now, here’s how the phases happen: The New Moon is when the Moon is between Earth and the Sun. The side facing us gets no direct light so it seems that the moon has disappeared from the sky. If you are able to see the Moon where you live during this time it is because what light it does receive is reflected to it from the Earth. Moving on, a few days later, the moon continues to move around Earth, the side we are able see becomes more visible. Little by little Luna is illuminated by direct sunlight which produces the thin sliver we call the waxing crescent. Continuing her travels, a week past the New Moon, the Moon is now at 90 degree angle away from the sun is half-illuminated, what we call first quarter. It is named so because the moon about a quarter of the way around Earth. As we watch the Moon's illumination grow towards fullness we can see as more than half of the moon's face appears to be receiving sunlight. This phase is called a waxing gibbous moon. When the moon has moved to a position of 180 degrees away from its new moon position, the sun, Earth and the moon form a nice little line. The moon is now as close as it can be to being fully illuminated by the sun, so this is, for obvious reasons called full moon. The next leg of the journey through it's phases, the moon moves until bit more than half of its face is getting light from the, but now the amount of light it gets is decreasing. This is called the waning gibbous phase. Days later, the moon has now moved yet another quarter of the way around Earth, to the third quarter position. The sun's light is now illuminating the visible face of the moon. After that the moon moves into the waning crescent I was born under one of these, so I'm very confident I'm not a werewolf. This phase is when less than half of the Moon's face appears to be getting sunlight, and the amount of sunlight it receives is steadily decreasing. Finally, the moon returns to its new moon position, where it will begin the cycle all over again. You should know that the Moon’s orbit is not exactly in the same plane as Earth’s orbit around the sun, and because of this they rarely are perfectly aligned. Most usually the moon passes above or below the sun from our point of perspective on Earth. When the Moon passes right in front of the sun, we get an eclipse of the sun. All Full Moon's are calculated to occur at an exact moment, which may or may not be near the time the moon rises where you are. So when a full moon rises, it’s typically doing this some hours before or after the actual time when it’s actually full, but we as casual observers wouldn't even notice the difference. In fact, the moon will often look pretty much the same on two nights nights in a row during the full moon phase. Pretty cool huh! Now to take it one step further... because you knew I would. The Moon phase you were born under actually has an astrological significance in your natal chart. For example, if you were born under a waning crescent or Balsamic Moon - in this life time you are working to complete karmic cycle. You might even feel an urgency to complete things in your life, as though you are aware of a a cosmic countdown. You may also feel that most of your relationships seem to be with people you feel like you've known forever. This is because you are completing Karmic contracts with them. Very interesting, no? If you would like to know more about what Moon phase you were born under and how it affects you, click here and I will help you out - wink, wink! That's all for now Moonlings, I hope you've enjoyed this and if you have... share it :) Love, Alysa

  • Moon in Gemini

Hey Mighty Morphin' Mood Changers, The Moon enters the sign of the Twins today reminding us that everything has a dose of duality in our human experience. From July 9th until July 11th duality will be thematic fir all of us. We observe this in every aspect of life, obvious examples are night  versus day, shadow versus light, apples versus bananas and the Empire Vs. The Rebel Alliance. It's all around us, it's in everything we do and when the Moon and Gemini mingle their energies we will feel that very duality in a very emotional way. You see, the Moon is all about the shifting landscape of our feelings. One minute you feel like a million bucks... the next like you gambled it away in done dank alleyway. Our emotions aren't based in logic or sensible-ness (yes that is a word cause I just made it up!😜) this is why we often become puzzled when our feelings don't match our circumstances. Enter Gemini. Gemini is a very intellectual sign and it likes to try and make sense of things as quickly as possible. It does this by helping you to see both sides of a situation. The positive in this is that you can relate and understand the motivations of others. The downside is sometimes you can become indecisicive ... because you can see both sides. This is the curse/gift of the ability to see from multiple perspectives. So my dear over the next few days if you can't make up your mind... don't try. Let things unfold and your logical mind and emotional mind will sort things out together... because Gemini love balance in its solutions too. Mercury Square Jupiter on the 9th - inspires hopes for a brighter future. While you have a boost of postive feelings its a great time to plot a vourse for the days ahead. Plan an experience that will broaden your horizon... talk abkut things that make you feel empowered. Difficulties and challenging events may occur but since Jupiter is a positive planet any drama will be somewhat lessened. This planet also helps you to feel like you have a more broad outlook on like in general... but dealing don't forget the devil is in the details! You may be so inspired to get on with flying into your future that you could lose focus and have a hard time concentrating on the little nattering bits of crap that need attention. This could cause some mistakes or miscalculations. On the 10th Venus Trine Uranus - ignites a desire to try something new and perhaps unconventional. You could feel invited out of your comfy comfort zone and urged to shake things up in your life life, or even take on a new hobby. Dont be surlrised if you feel extra affectionate. If you are already lart of a pair you could see your live in a new light. If you are single its a good time to go out becsuse a new love intrest is more possible under this transit. I like to call this the racoon transit because anything whiney and new will grab your attention and you could accidently NEED to have it. Hide your credit card. Also worth mentioning, if you feel like socializing this is a perfect day gr8 Or it. There will be an unusual electric vibe in the air that seems to attract the most unconventional and interesting folks together. Innovation and like minded individuals are drawn together for enjoying entertaning pursuits. Sun opposition Pluto on the 11th - might be an emotionally bumpy ride. Today ylu could be feeling a bit lost and confused. You may even be temlted to act in ways that you know are self distructive. If you are in recovery this might be a good day to stay far away from place and people that might draw you into a dark place. Relationships might also suffer some painful situations. There could be a sense that one partner is trying to dominate the other through manipulation, envy,or even snooping. If any of that crap bubbles up do your best to not fight fire with napalm. Step away from the situation before something regrettable happens. I'd also like to offer you a friendly heads up. This transit can sometimes create the perfect confluence of events for disaster on a personal and even a communal level. Things to stink up your day like theft, broken down cars or appliance could make for a craptastic day. Sometime things can even get as bad as natural disasters... but let's hope not. PRO TIP: if she!t goes sideways remember cooler heads always prevail. Now I'm not telling you that because it's easier... I'm telling you that because keeping your temper in check and your mind flexible and your attitude open - then you will be able to adjust your angle of approach like a fighter pilot long before you crash. Just sayin' That's it for now my dear Moonling. Love, Alysa P.S. • Get Grounded With Moon In Taurus

Hey Chill Cats & Kittens Nothing sets the stage for relaxed earthy vibes better then when the Moon is in the sign of Taurus. Listen to good music, ear god food and enjoy good company. From July 7th to July 9th The Moon and Taurus mingle their energy. The Bull is all about stable, practical and earthy energy. At best you can enjoy feelings of domestic satisfaction and comfort. At worst you could end up questioning yourself worth or self doubt. Remember that the Moon is what influences our emotions and Taurus informs the way in which we feel them. You could fell the call of nostalgia, and a desire to reminisce about the times when you were a kid. Remembering places you visited or events that had you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Of course if you don't have too many of those things to look back on this transit could also evoke feelings of sadness and a yearning for what could have been if things were different. As with all things even the Moon has a darker side. If you can my dear try to find the light even if it seems a long way away. The next few days are a mixed bag of transits. Some difficult ( yeah I'm looking at you Mars) and some quite nice. Read on Moonling and see what is in the heavens for you. Moon Square Mars on Saturday the 7th - Might be a bit tricky as grouchy angry feelings are likely to bubble up. You;re going to want to tread with caution to avoid big explosive fights that could really cause some damage. There is a potential for anger to become explosive and violence or some kind could erupt. Also today is not the day to take even calculated risks as the energy from the Moon Square Mars makes risks even riskier. In other words don't go bungee jumping or anything that could end in a broken neck. Notably, your relationships to women in your life could come under a bit of stress while under the influence of this transit. My advice? Even if you are angry and have a right to be, try to stay off the war path because the long term effects are not worth it. So try to express your frustrations but don't let anger direct your actions. The best thing you can do is walk away and try on another day that the energy is more supportive of talking and not punching. Also, be careful in the kitchen because this energy makes cuts and burns more likely than usual. Overall... don;t burn yourself, get in fights or jump off things and you should be mostly ok. On Sunday the 8th we have a sensitive Moon sextile Neptune - Remember what I said earlier about good company and relaxation? When the Moon is Sextile to Neptune your ability to sense negative vines will be increased and your tolerance for any of that will be slim to none. The good news is that you probably wont run into too much of that. Additionally you likely notice that your intuition is more aligned with that which serves you, in other words you will not only see things more clearly but you will know through your feelings that you are correct. Pay extra close attention to your dreams, they will hold messages and direction for you because they will be very vivid. Taking time to meditate will be extremely beneficial, helping you to reach deeper into your inner awareness which will reveal new creative avenues of expression. If you feel so inclines it is also a great time to dance and express yourself with fluid motion... Pro tip - try not to do that in the shower it could get dangerous. Also, this is a very friendly transit for intimate partnerships. You and your lover can use this vibration (wink-wink) to create even more closeness in your relationship. Physical expressions of affection will be especially powerful. Venus enters Virgo on Monday the 9th - You know this transit makes me think of that song by The Beatles - "All You Need Is Love" but with a Virgo twist. Your love will be motivated pragmatism. The love you want to give to those around you will need to make sense and it will need to be service oriented. Even though Virgo likes all the ducks to waddle in a neat and tidy little row it doesn't mean that love is devoid of passion or sensuality. Don't forget that Virgo is an Earth sign and it's nature is sensual but it is also very practical in how it is shared. For example, if during this transit you were to buy someone you love a birthday gift you would more than likely feel inspired to buy something that serves the person's needs rather than just their wants. So yes, you would buy them something pretty but only if it served a good purpose. Another consideration is that you might find yourself feeling a little guilty if you are even the least bit self indulgent. To truly take advantage of this energy find a way in which you can share your helping hands with those that might need a little extra help. A word of warning though, sometimes Virgo energy can be prone to excessive worry which will cause you to become critical, overly bossy or even like you have managed to have a stick up your bum. I'm only telling you this so you don't end up annoying people you love by trying to help them see the better way to do the thing. Anyhoozies, it's been fun for me I hope it's been the same for you! Until next time dear Moonling. Love, Alysa P.S. If you would like your chart cast and fully interpreted, click here! P.P.S If you are in need of a Tarot reading... which who isn't... click here

  • Moon in Aries

Leading the charge into the zodiac, iron will Aries and The Moon charge forward with an eager appetite for construction. I love the adventurous energy of the ram. The fearless pioneer is never afraid to cut a new path and then enthusiastically rush down it even if the spontaneity prevents Aries from seeing the cliff ahead. But what the hell, even falling off a cliff is a new thing; and let's be honest Aries loves new things. When the Moon combines her energy with that of Aries he becomes more responsive to his intrinsic intuitive faculties. Feelings become more important, and the fluctuations of your Moods are paired with survival instincts, tempering your tendency to look before you leap. There is something deeply primal about an Aries Moon and it seems to inspire you to take action based on the urges of your heart. And because I love you, here are some of the transits for the next few days. July 5th Sun Trine Neptune - gives you a greater sensitivity to the environment and your level of empathy for others will be stronger than usual under this transit. You could feel called to help the down trodden or any people that seem to be struggling. You also could have a compelling urge to join an organization or lend your support to groups and communities that fight for those who can't fight for themselves. This transit give you a window in which you can see and understand your place in the world. Interestingly you may come to see that the attainment and completion of your own goals is the key to helping those that you wish to benefit. In order for you to be more balanced love, take this time to really refine your spirituality. If you do this, plotting your course to success will be assisted by a strong self belief in yourself and even clearer intuitive impressions, which should prove to be more accurate now. Align yourself with artistic and creative persuits becuase your talents are even more pronounced. Speaking of artsy fartsy stuff, on July the 6th Moon Trine Jupiter - Everything creative and artistic like music, theater and film are ideal while this transit shines down on you. Darling, a blast of inspiration could provide you with a breakthrough idea on a project that has been causing you frustration. Also worth mentioning is that Neptune rules film and cameras so break out your webcam and vlog about your dreams and visions for what you want to manifest in the future. Additionally Your psychic faculties might be stronger than usual under this transiting influence. Its an ideal time to pay extra attention to any psychic impressions, write them down in your journal and watch for synchronicities. Oh and this transit is a good time to schedule a Tarot or psychic reading. Lastly on July 7th we get to enjoy Mercury Sextile Venus - yaaaaay for a fun-loving and friendly planetary transit that loves to make relaxing and unwinding easy. Being with your friends will likely be more sweet because stress will be less and there will be more harmonious vibes for you to lavish on your closest relationships. The nicest thing about this transit is you will seem to have a stronger ability to express your love and affection through speaking the contents of your heart. Be careful though, because you will have a surplus of charm and wit making social skills effortless you could find yourself getting loads of affectionate attention. It's a great time to ask for favors or even advance your agendas. Solving problems or soothing sore feeling from current or past arguments will also be a lot easier than usual. Remember what I told you about all that extra charm and wit? Use it to your advantage to make nice, make up and make toward the happy future you have been dreaming about. Go for it love... you got this!. That's all for now. Thank you for taking time out to read. If this has helped you pass it on... you never know you could save a life... or at least someone from some boredom. Until next time my dear Moonling. • Tarot on the go. Mobile apps for mobile Mystics.

As much as I prefer to give readings in person, sometimes you just don't have the time or even the access to a good reader. Let's face it there are plenty of situations that arise where you need an answer or at the very least some guidance right now and you can't really wait to get an appointment with someone. Or if you're like me, you carry cards where ever you go but you can't exactly open your bag, bust out your cards and do a spread while you're sitting in the restaurant waiting for your food. Well, I guess you could if you don't mind the stares or requests for readings from strangers. Or the potential to be chased out of said establishment with pitch forks and torches. now just in case you aren't dependent on your phone enough, I thought I would share with you my top three picks for Tarot apps. These are pretty good apps and they will likely help you with an answer for that need to know question. Keep in mind these are based on my personal preferences and apps I have used and enjoyed. They are all free to use but have pay options if you like. Galaxy Tarot - This app has been on my phone forever! I love this app because it is a great tool to use for daily guidance along with deepening your understanding of the symbolism in Tarot. I'm a huge fan of having multiple streams of information at my finger tips and this app doesn't disappoint. Even though it only uses the Rider-Waite cards and doesn't have a huge library of spreads it makes up for it with it's simplicity and ease of use. The app is easy to navigate and the interface is simple and clean; you don't have to work with it long before feeling like a natural with it. It has lots of good information and has a goodly amount of information to help you make use of the collection of symbols in the cards. If you want supplemental info about each card beyond its meaning this app certainly provides. It has a correspondence listing for each card. So if you wanted to know what zodiac sigbn, crystal and I-ching hexagram is relates to the king of swords - you can easily find it. It's a simple app but well worth a download. Tarot Sampler - With over ten thousand downloads this little app offers you beautiful high-res images which of course I love.It has 19 spreads to choose from that are built right into the app which is nice. You can also zoom right in on the cards which I like because not only do I enjoy details... I tend to misplace my glasses a lot. This app is easy to use whether you are a beginner or a pro so it will grow with you as you become a stronger reader. As for being a pro you can also share your readings via email. This is a helpful feature because you can send your clients Pics of the readings you do for them which I find my clients really like. This is a fun app and I suggest giving it a go. Uni Tarot - This little app is pretty cool. It boasts over 8 decks and has 15 spreads you can play with. Some of the decks you can work with are the Rider- Waite, Tarot Marseilles, Tarot of Giovanni Vacchetta and a whole bunch more. You have the option of which decks you want to download and which you don't which is also pretty cool... if you're like me you will just wind up downloading them all. Like Galaxy Tarot there is additional in depth information provided about each card including Astrology, numerology, elements and colors. You can also compare cards sided by side from different decks which is sure to elevate your Tarot fluency. This is a great app for learning as well as reading, especially since it also has an on board encyclopedia of card meanings. The spreads are varied enough that you shouldn't get board to easily and you will be sure to find your favorite before too long. So there ya go, some options for your mobile mystical needs. All of these apps have something great to offer and I'm sure if you try any of these out you will find one that fits your needs and personality. As for me, I'll always be collecting decks and finding something new and unique to continue my Tarot journey. I hope you like what you read and please, if you have a better app let me know I'd be happy to give it a try. Until next time ❤ Love Alysa

  • Moon in Pisces

Hey Summer love, From July 2nd to the 5th The Moon is in the sign of the fish, so why not delve into the depths of your heart and soul. As you know whenever the moon and Pisces it is a time when we are feeling more imaginative and even intuitive. We feel things more deeply and our sense of oneness with others is heightened. This is a time where you are able to take steps to delve into your own psyche and dissolve ego where it might be slowing your growth. The sign of Pisces is represented by two fish swimming in opposite directions. This represents the innate ability of the Piscean energy to see things from all sides as well as being pulled in opposite directions. It is the job of this energy to help you to identify that which is illusion from that which is truth. Not gonna lie - that can be very challenging at times. As you sort through what is real and what isn't here are some upcoming aspects for you to work with over the next few days. On the 2nd of July Moon Sextile Saturn - Might make you fee a little protective of your family and and even your significant other. Your desire to show how deeply you care for them will be expressed in practical ways. You probably wont feel the need to do so in huge public displays. It will be all about showing your love through delicious meals, a comfortable home and all the bills paid. You might also feel like hanging out at home and just enjoying some time away from other hooomans ( or people as they are commonly referred to.) This is a good time for digging deeper and finding the source of some of your more serious emotions and you might find some real benefit from doing this with a loved one. Your mind will be filled with thoughts about commitment, loyalty and what your definitions of family are right now. My dear, this is a really good opportunity for you to operate from a place of heart centered compassion while you carry out your duties and responsibilities. Any obligations you have pending as it concerns your family are best done during this transit as your nature will be reserved while your heart stays open July 3rd Moon Trine Sun - This transit is about as good as it gets because it will feel like all systems are go for many of us. Your mind, body and soul will feel like they are all harmonically balanced. You might feel like this is the first time in a good while where you don't have to pretend to feel as good as you look... and you look marvelous! This transit also provides all the energy you will need to shine your focus on the projects and tasks you have set up to do. Oh and if you ever suffer from relaxation guilt - go ahead and take the energy of the Moon Trine Sun and put that guilt where it belongs... way out of your mind. Just soak up the good vibes, I officially give you permission. As an added bonus drama should be at a minimum and just good harmonious vibes will surround you. Relationships will be sweet and easy and you will benefit from being the calm and easy force in the room, so it's a great time to socialize and spend time with people who you really enjoy. Oh, and if you have something awesome you want to promote... DO IT! On the 4th Moon Quincux Venus - Sees a bit of a shift in the energy. You might feel a noticeable increase in your need for love, attention and affection but annoyingly there could be an increases in tension between you and someone you love. Interestingly, that other person will usually be a woman, someone with strong feminine energy or even your mother. However that doesn't exclude the tension that could bubble up with a male partner, cause it could happen there too. The tension you feel is because of an imbalance that exists in the way love and affection is shared between you. You might feel that you are giving more than you are reeving. Or they might feel you are always taking and never returning. This has probably been a long standing issue that just happens to crap up your day by rearing it's ugly head again. The bummer about this whole situation is that things could boil over into an argument or some uncomfortable revelations could be uncovered. There might be a chance that infidelity or inappropriate behavior could be a central point of tension. My advice, take your time and figure out what you really want before you make any permanent decisions. You will want to know that your choice is the best one over the long haul. That's all for now my dear Moonlings. I hope this helps you and if it does, share it with someone else who might benefit. • Moon in Capricorn

Hey Boss, Moon is in Capricorn now and its time to get down to business. Capricorn loves nothing more than organizing ambitious plans that are earthy and practical. From May 31st to June 2nd your thoughts are directed toward the trajectory of your career. You're looking at all you have accomplished thus far and thinking about where it is you really want to be in the future. It's all about being pragmatic and realistic. Your goals are at the top of your priority list and you are prepared to trim the fat and get rid of whatever might be weighing you down. Everything you're doing right now is about what makes the most sense. You aren't likely to be feeling super emotional right now because you are focused like a lazer on everything you have to do to get where you want to go. Though this is an Earthy moon, Capricorn energy can be a tad bit austere. In other words even if the glass is half full... Capricorn will see it as half full of piss. Yeah, kinda cynical. At best this energy will be very business oriented and serious. At worst the Capricorn energy can turn very sullen and depressing. My advice is if you are feeling kinda blahh or bummed find something to do that will advance you in your career or education. This will satisfy the Capricorn moon. On May 31st we have Moon Conjunct Saturn this brings yet another layer of seriousness to the day. You may feel like being on your own to assess what the next move you want to make is. Because of your possible desire for isolation you might find that people around you are taking it the wrong way. They may become a bit negative and you might find some interactions with others on the challenging side. You know what I'm gonna say right?.... Breathe Deep Darlin, Breathe Deep! I know this is gonna be a pain in the ass and most of the trouble that may pop up will feel way worse than it actually is, so try to not take other peoples reactions too personally. Also you may experience some delays. Saturn is the lord of time and time moves for no one. Any hindrances and restrictions will be expereinced mostly at home and family life will be a little tricky to navigate. But you got this! I know you do :) Just do your best to be compassionate to all those around you. Especially the women in your life. Remember whenever we see the moon involved in a transit you know there will be some feminine energy at play. So, if you are dealing with a woman who is feeling vulnerable or sad or even depressed, take some extra time with her, hold some space and help her process through the hard stuff. She will reward you. Next, on June 1st Venus Trine Jupiter thankfully we are in for a healthy dose of love, optimism and joyfulness. This my dear is one of the best transits for those who are looking for love. Jupiter is the cosmic Santa clause that loves to give gifts to all the boys and girls. In this case when Venus trine Jupiter you will be lavished with more attractiveness... think Funky Cold Medina level. People of the opposite sex will feel more at ease with you and will want to be next to your gorgeous self. You will be more eloquent and interesting because you will be so very relaxed. This is a great time for you to socialize because the energy in the air will allow for stress to be released and relieved. Everything will just be more fun, more relaxed and just nice. Food will taste better, music will be even more melodic. Soak it in Moonling. Let this transit be the open door opportunity to have fun, seek and accept pleasurable experiences. After all you deserve a break from all the seriousness of the previous days. Oh and guess what else I have for you...Moon Square Uranus on the 2nd and this transit can make us all a little trigger happy. It will be a shoot first ask questions later kind of energy. You might notice that people will have rapid mood swings , both high and low. You yourself might be a bit testy and anything that requires focus and or commitment isn't going to hold your interest. You're just gonna be a bit twitchy. Kinda like a squirrel trying to decide whether or not to cross the road. You're likely not going to want anyone telling you what to do either. This energy is going to make you feel like ignoring good sense. You're like a rebel without a cause. Just wanting to shake things up just for the sake of it. What you want is stimulation you want to make the world around you different because you're tired of the same old same old. All of the routines in your life are going to feel a little like that pair of pants you've been saving since high school; too damn tight, Which only serves to make you feel even more confined. You want to break out and just change something... anything. However this is not the time to go shaving your head or getting a tattoo on your bum. Ok maybe just a little one. At any rate, I get that you might be feeling like life is a hamster wheel for you right now. However, I will offer a suggestion to help you manage this manic energy. Take some time and go do something very physical, something that will help burn off that excess of energy. Then try looking for something that you can improve. Take all of that Uranian non-conformist thinking and motivate it toward improving something that will make life better for as many people as you can. After all Uranus is interested in humanitarian efforts. Best part... if you do this you are very likely to stay out of jail for malicious mischief. Noe be a good Moonling and don't punch anybody. Thanks all for now my dear. Thank you for taking time out to read this.. I hope you find it helpful. Until next time, you know where to find me. Oh and if you'd like your birth chart done with a full interpretation of all your planetary placements... click here and for $50 I'll hook you up! Love, Alysa
