  • Fact vs. Fiction

Tarot cards have been the subject of rumours and misconceptions for centuries. While some people believe they are a powerful tool for self-discovery and guidance, others view them with skepticism and suspicion. In this blog post, we will explore some of the most common rumours about tarot cards and the facts behind them. Rumour #1: Tarot cards are evil and associated with witchcraft Fact: Tarot cards are not inherently evil or associated with witchcraft. They are simply a tool for divination and self-exploration. While tarot cards have a history of being used by some people who practice witchcraft, that does not mean all tarot readers are witches, nor does it mean that the cards are inherently negative. Rumour #2: Tarot cards predict the future with absolute certainty Fact: Tarot cards do not predict the future with absolute certainty. Instead, they offer guidance and insight into the present moment, which can help you make more informed decisions about the future. The future is always subject to change, and tarot cards are simply one tool that can help you navigate the uncertainties of life. Rumour #3: Tarot cards are only for psychics and clairvoyants Fact: Tarot cards are not only for psychics and clairvoyants. Anyone can learn to read tarot cards with practice and dedication. While some people may have a natural inclination for intuitive reading, anyone can develop their skills with time and effort. Rumour #4: Tarot cards are expensive and require special training Fact: Tarot cards are not necessarily expensive, and you do not need special training to use them. While many high-end tarot decks are available, there are also affordable options that are just as effective. Additionally, while it can be helpful to take a class or read a book on tarot reading, it is not necessary to do so in order to start using the cards. Rumour #5: Tarot cards are dangerous and can lead to negative outcomes Fact: Tarot cards are not dangerous and do not lead to negative outcomes. While it is possible to misinterpret the cards or become overly reliant on them, this is not the cards' fault. Tarot cards are simply a tool for self-exploration and guidance and like any tool, it is up to the user to use them responsibly. As you know, tarot cards are a valuable tool for gaining insight and self-exploration, but they are not without their rumours and misconceptions. By understanding the facts behind these tales, we can approach tarot cards with an open mind and use them to their fullest potential. Whether you are a seasoned reader or a beginner, remember to trust your intuition and use the cards as a tool for self-discovery and personal growth.
